Wow, it’s been a long time since I have blogged!! It has been an absolutely CRAZY two months, so I had better fill you in on our family’s adventures!! We moved into our new house at the beginning of September, and we absolutely LOVE it here! We spent a few days painting before we moved in, and now that we are all settled in, it really feels like home. I had so much fun decorating Addy’s room, and she really seems to like her big girl crib.
Daisy is really enjoying running free out in the country. She chases birds and deer and tractorsn5. We also recently added a new member to our family. His name is Oscar, and he is a yellow and white kitten. He loves to catch mice and loves people…he acts pretty much like a dog (except for the whole mouse catching thing). However, he doesn’t really care for Daisy too much, so we‘re still in a little bit of an adjustment phase there.
Ben has been working at Remington since we moved here, and he is really enjoying his job. Since the farmers are harvesting now, he has had lots and lots of overtime, which is always helpful for us. I absolutely love being a stay at home mom, and I will be finishing up my first class of the semester this week and starting new one. Addy keeps me incredibly busy, but I can’t imagine a job I would rather be doing!
Addy is growing and changing every day. She is almost 5 months old (can you believe that?!?!), and she has the most amazingly sweet personality. She is so beautiful, and I never get sick of her precious smile. She is a great sleeper (12 hours per night for the last couple of months), and she is a very easy going, happy baby. She has been rolling over for a while, and her doctor says she is very strong for her age, and even though she was a month early, she is ahead of all of her developmental goals for her age. So…she’s pretty much amazing!
We have been trying some new things in our home including using cloth diapers, making our own wipes, making/using recycling bins, making homemade baby food, and I am planning to try making my own laundry detergent. I plan to blog later on about all of my adventures, but for now I will just close in saying that life is wonderful and God has really provided for us. We miss living close to family, but we really feel like we have made a great home for our new family. I will definitely have more to come!
